By bringing back everyday sound, hearing aids make the tinnitus less noticeable. Sound therapy can help too. For tinnitus that's distressing, the strongest evidence is for cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as reflected in NICE guidance on tinnitus (NG155, 2020).
